R.I.P.E. Reveling in perpetual evolution.

Rich Zukor first picked up drums as an infant, when his mother accidentally left the kitchen cabinet open. He went BANG! BANG! BANG! with the wooden spoon on the frying pan... voila... a star was born.


Unfortunately, when Richie was at the age to start a formal course of study, he found that the whole business of practicing would cut entirely too far into his video game and television schedule. But wait! Something strange happened to Rich. That something was puberty. And suddenly the young sproutling found a new energy and meaning in music like Kiss, The Who, Iron Maiden and Slayer. That restless energy he found could only be quelled through the act of beating things. Sure enough, he found himself behind the drums again.



This led to a Master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music. Summers were spent in the Borst Belt, making the big bucks. Fall, winter and spring were filled with recording and session playing. Then, Rich joined up with Ska legends The New York Citizens.


Fast forward to 2001 and RIPE; Rich took over the position of wiping all of our asses with his super steady beat--that’s Rich, impressing and amusing audiences wherever he goes.
