R.I.P.E. Reveling in perpetual evolution.

Besides being with RIPE since before the beginning, Seth is a classical guitarist with an impressive list of credits. He’s director of Guitar Studies at William Patterson University and founder for the Suzuki Guitar Program at the JCC/Thurnauer School of Music. Seth serves on the Guitar Development committee of the Suzuki Association of America.


As a soloist, Seth has played at the 92nd Street Y, Alice Tully Hall, Wagner College in Staten Island, St. Paul’s Chapel in NYC, Rode Island College, the JCC on the Palisades CPC Concert Series and others. Seth has been active as a presenter, sponsoring over 20 concerts, master classes and presentations under the name of the New York Classical Guitar Society. He has performed with singer-songwriter Jane Kelly Williams, Orchestra of the Sky, Dialogue (with vibraphonist Jerry Weir) Curious and others.



Seth is also active as a guitarist and composer in jazz, pop and experimental music groups. He’s a member of the Doansburgh Chamber Ensemble led by flutist Christine Smith and his compositions have been presented in their yearly jazz concerts in upstate NY. Seth has been active as a studio session guitarist, recording ad jingles for cable TV stations such as The Movie Channel, Court TV and has made a recent television appearance on New Jersey News 12 on the show “Jersey’s Talking” with Lee Leonard.


Seth holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Carlos Barbosa-Lima. His other teachers were Jeffrey Meyerriecks, Rob Winter and Dennis Coleman. Seth has performed in master classes for Manuel Barrueco, David Leisner, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Guido Santorsola and Jesus Silva.


At present, Seth is half of a fabulous flute/guitar duo called Duo Cavatina. As winners of the Artist International Competition, Duo Cavatina presented their New York Debut Recital in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall to a capacity audience receiving rave reviews.
