Vinny Raniolo

At 19, guitarist Vinny Raniolo has already developed a depth and mastery of the guitar that most musicians spend decades to achieve. A versatile musician, Vinny has a passion for jazz, funk, fusion, rock, blues and classical.
Vinny got his start playing alto saxophone at the age of 8. He began playing guitar at age 13, and seriously began studying jazz at 14. He went on to learn the piano, string bass and electric bass. Vinny attended college music classed since the 9th grade, and his skills as an improvisor of jazz music go well beyond his years.
Vinny has toured with Greg Raposo's rock band and co wrote the song "In My Eyes" on their upcoming album. He has also done session work for Sienna, Jessie, Daniels and Greg Raposo. Vinny has played professionally for the Nassau County Museum of Art and was asked to represent Eastman Strings (a manufacturer of violins, cellos and string basses) at the Annual Long Island Guitar Show at the Vanderbilt to advertise their newly manufactured archtop jazz guitars.
Other professional engangments include: Dime Jazz Festival 2001, Washington Mutual Jazz Festival 2002/2003, Long Island Summer Festival 2002, WBLI Winter Jam 2002, WJYY Christmas Jam 2002, Christmas East Coast Tour 2002, Radio Disney Tour 2003, New York Brass Conference 2003.
Charity performances include: March Of Dimes, Make a Wish Foundation (sponsored by Radio Disney), NY Mets 9.11 Foundation at Shea Stadium Clubhouse, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Little Boys and Girls Club of America, Children with Aids Benefit and many, many others.
